2012 Nissan NV Brings 12-Passenger Utility to the U.S.

Whether you have a twelve-person team to tote or are carrying a bit more materialistic cargo, Nissan is expanding its commercial vehicle lineup for you. Already alive and thriving within other global markets, the Nissan NV family provides auto consumers with viable utility van options for both business-oriented and personal use. Now, the automaker has announced it will roll out the lineup here in the United States starting with the 2012 Nissan NV3500 passenger van.

As its name implies, the Nissan NV model works well for transporting anywhere between one and 12 passengers. Built with the same mechanical underpinnings as its commercial sibling, the Nissan people-hauler comes with two engine options. Starting at the base level, drivers will grab power from a 4.0-liter V6 capable of producing 261 horsepower and 281 pounds-feet of torque. Moving on up to the trim level ladder, owners can pull 317 ponies and 385 pounds-feet of torque from a 5.6-liter V8.

In addition to ample space and flexible seating, the 2012 Nissan NV provides plenty of technology to keep all 12 passengers comfortable and entertained. Available features include the following:

-          5-inch touch-screen navigation system
-          XMO Satellite Radio
-          Bluetooth hands-free phone system
-          Telematics pre-wiring (Nissan Fleet Tracker)
-          Rear 50/50 split French doors

While the Nissan NV passenger van is certainly something to get excited about, keep in mind that it only marks the beginning.
