Rogue and Versa Help Nissan Start the Year Off Right

Everyone likes to start the New Year off on the right foot. Well, Nissan actually did. The ambitious automaker didn't just make light-hearted resolutions and drop them the moment the clock struck 2012, it charged ahead with high goals and the determination to reach them. In fact, sales reports show that Nissan saw a 10.4-percent increase in January over the same time last year.

Dying to know which new Nissan models deserve the credit for such success? We don't like to discriminate or put one vehicle above the rest but, Jenkins Nissan will say that the Nissan Rogue and the Nissan Versa deserve a healthy round of applause. Both innovative models set records for January with sales up 5.1 percent and 8.5 percent respectively.

Of course, the Rogue and Versa aren't the only two Nissan superstars. The Nissan Altima kept its passenger car popularity going with sales reaching 22,357. Nissan trucks such as the 2012 Frontier and the 2012 Pathfinder SUV also performed exceptionally well. In regards to these uplifting stats, Al Castignetti, Vice President and General Manager, says, "January's performance, especially for key models like Altima, Versa, Rogue and Frontier, reinforces our optimism that 2012 is going to be an even better year."1
