Investing time, energy and funds into Habitat for Humanity isn't a new initiative for Nissan Americas. In fact, the organizations' partnership dates back six years, now.  It all started in 2005, just after Hurricane Katrina and Rita nailed the southeast. In addition, to considerable monetary donations, Nissan employees have logged over 56,000 hours helping the non-profit build homes for people in need.

Nissan has set the bar even higher for the automotive industry, yet again. Earlier this month, the company publicized their intent to become the first automaker to incorporate QR-code stickers in every new 2012 model. By 2013, the United States will call for all automobiles sold in the country to have QR-codes.

QR-codes' original purpose was for original equipment manufacturers to be able to track each vehicle part. Now, these codes are becoming?

Nissan Continues the Drive Electric Tour

In the fall of 2010, Nissan promoted its pure-electric LEAF by taking it on tour and inviting driver in select U.S. cities to test drive the EV. The first part of the Nissan "Drive Electric Tour" gave roughly 50,00 people the chance to test drive the LEAF by March of 2011.
