In the fall of 2010, Nissan promoted its pure-electric LEAF by taking it on tour and inviting driver in select U.S. cities to test drive the EV. The first part of the Nissan "Drive Electric Tour" gave roughly 50,00 people the chance to test drive the LEAF by March of 2011.

The LEAF is already deemed a pretty green car. It is after all an EV. However, Nissan is now looking into a way to make it even greener in the future. Specifically, they are working on and testing the usage of solar power.
